Day 79: 1 Timothy 1-6, March 19th, 2024

Paul greets Timothy, corrects false teachers, God’s mercy given to Paul, a call to prayer for those in authority, instructions for women, elder qualifications, deacon qualifications, the attributes of Jesus, warning not to abandon the faith, let no one despise you because of your youth Timothy, respect for all, honoring true elderly widows, honor elders, Timothy’s charge to lead well, serve your masters with honor, reject false teachings, Godliness with contentment is great gain, fight the good fight, do not put your hope in wealth, and guard the faith

1 Timothy 2

1 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone— 2 for kings and all those in authority—so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
