Job 24:22 Yet by His power, God drags away the mighty; though rising up, they have no assurance of life. 23 He gives them a sense of security, but His eyes are on their ways. 24 They are exalted for a moment, then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like heads of grain.

Job 20:4 Do you not know that from antiquity, since man was placed on the earth, 5 the triumph of the wicked has been brief and the joy of the godless momentary? 6 Though his arrogance reaches the heavens, and his head touches the clouds, 7 he will perish forever, like his own dung; those who had seen him will ask, ‘Where is he?’

Job 19:19 All my best friends despise me, and those I love have turned against me. 20 My skin and flesh cling to my bones; I have escaped by the skin of my teeth. 21 Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me. 22 Why do you persecute me as God does?
