Nehemiah 13:25b Then I made them take an oath before God and said, “You must not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters as wives for your sons or for yourselves! 26 Did not King Solomon of Israel sin in matters like this? Nehemiah 8:5 Ezra opened the book in full view of all the people, since he was standing above them all, and as he opened it, all the people stood up. 6 Then Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and with their hands uplifted, all the people said, “Amen, Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
